Power losss after engaging cutter

23 hp Kawasaki engine on 60" yazookees dies after cutter engaged. Cleaned fuel tank, blew out lines, started this after first spring start up. Engine is 10 yrs old. Will start again immediately, runs for 20 seconds after cutter engaged then quits each time. Suggestions welcomed, thanks.

Check flow of fuel into the carburetor. If its not a strong stream, it's using fuel faster than it's getting it. If the fuel line is collapsing internally, blowing out the lines won't help.
