Comparing two pressure washers
Ok I need advice.. this is what I DID..
I bought this Simpson 3200 PSI 2.5 gpm with a Kohler 196cc have not opened the box yet... I paid $598 with a 4 year total warranty
So as I do all the time looking for a DEAL LOOK in Craigslist and find this Craftsman 3,000 PSI 2.7 gpm engine is a Briggs not sure of the horse power on either one of them... as you see the price on this one is he will take $300
Tell how they compare which is better deal.. Craftsman has 2.7gpm but less PSI
How do the ENGINE compare??
Sears Craftsman 3000 psi Pressure Washer & Accessories-NEW IN BOX
The craftsman is 25 miles away, I got the Simpson in back of my truck to take back to Lowes in the morning and will head that way... This Man's brother died and he had just bought this one for $625
Which would you Keep..Craftsman is $298 Less ???
Thank you guys as always

It is hard to argue with half price but it is likely the Sears unit is not as well bult as the one with the Kohler engine.
Kohler is more of a premium engine compared to Briggs but more important is the the pump mounted to it.
The Briggs likely has a very light duty pump with an aluminum housing.
Here is a list of Sears pressure washers and none like what are shown in the ad are close to $600.00
I say the ad is a lie and stick with the one with the Kohler engine.
Give us a link to the one from Lowes.

Ya.
The one on craigslist is a vertical shaft engine which is used on the lowest cost units.
The one in the link has a decent quality pump that has a brass business end.....Craftsman is likely all aluminum.
Keep the Kohler one IMO......The Craiglist unit is worh half what they say it sells for.

If you bought an extended warranty, in Lowe's, make sure that you keep your paper work. Lowe's purges their system based on a two year rotation. So, it's April 27th, 2016. If your warranty goes beyond April 27th, 2018, Lowe's won't honor it unless you show proof. That's really a brain dead way to run a company.
