John Deere SB14

Replaced trans on SB14, now the cable that engages trans is 2 inches too short to connect. Any ideas as to what is wrong. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums. Until the pros have a look at your post, check and be sure that you have it mounted correctly. It has one axle that appears longer than the other. Are these facing the right direction?

Honda Harmony Clutch Cable does not stay engaged

I have a Honda harmony lawn mower model number HRR2162SDA. I'm trying to replace the clutch cable. The installation was completed but every time i test the cable by pulling on the handle, the end hook that connects it to the clutch lever under the deck comes off. There is no locking device like a notch or a hole for a cotter pin and the hook fits loosely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Read More

Needle bearings on variable speed pulley

Model number: 13AG675G033 serial:1L096C60045. Engine is Tecumseh OHV16-204216D(H) D.OM. 63265. I was changing the drive belt on my old MTD and thought I would check the needle bearings on the variable speed pulley. Well the top ones are OK, but the bottom needle bearings are not so great. have quite a few of the "needles" missing. I know that MTD sell the needle bearings, but will I be able to change them using regular hand tools? If so, how do you get them out of the variator? The middle sheave moves freely and I would hate to spend the money on a new variator if it just needs the needle bearings. Thanks in advance!Read More
