Still fs81 weedwacker carburetor question

Hi,
As a novice do it yourselfeor, I made a foolish mistake and now I have a question. I was trying to remove the fuel line to the carburetor and in haste, I ended up prying off the part of the carburetter that connects to the line. I was able to tap it back in and re-connect the line. The fit is tight and it seems ok; but I wonder if I did some damage inside. Is there a clip or something that might've come off inside the carb?

Could I try starting the engine without disassembling the carb? That's what I'd like to do.

It's a Walbro carb. I can send a photo if necessary.

Thanks for the help.

Run it, I think they are sorta sweeged (sp) in at the factory if it falls out or leaks worry about it then and maybe put some JB weld around it. Have a good one. Geo
