Testing Solenoid on Riding Mower

Hi, I have a Husqvarna YTH 150. I cut 1 loop around my yard, then remembered I needed to put one of the mower deck wheels back on because I had to purchase a replacement bolt. Anyway, I put the wheel back on, sit down, pressed brake, turned key, nothing. No clicks, no sound at all. I checked and there's a 25 amp fuse (contrary to the 30 amp fuse in the manual) that was still good. Tested the battery, 12+ volts. I found the solenoid and followed a youtube video to test. There seem to be multiple ways to do this. One way was to leave all wires connected. Place negative on mower frame, positive on the terminal that connects to the wire coming from the battery. Set multimeter to 12 volts. Multimeter read 0. Is this an accurate way to read? I do have a battery charger but why use that to test if the battery is good? Any other testing suggestions? It's a 4 prong solenoid. The ground looked like it went to the seat safety switch? One of the smaller wire connections had a red end, white wire, the other a blue end 2 black wires. Is the blue/black combo ground? I've watched many youtube videos. but none of them seem to really match how mine is wired up. Any help is appreciated. I can provide any other details needed.

Make sure your PTO button is OFF!

 

Not familiar with your model, but did you possibly leave the blades engaged when you stopped? That could be a safety shut down, if they are still engaged.
