B&S voltage regulator question

I have a 12.5 hp Briggs IC vertical engine (281707-0155-01) that originally came with a 3 amp unregulated alternator.

I have replaced that alternator with a 16 amp unit (592830), a voltage regulator
(845907) and the flywheel with a large magnet unit (693556).

My question is, where is the voltage regulator supposed to mount? There are two tapped holes on the starter side of the engine crankcase, just behind the cylinder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Anywhere you can mount it. If it didn't come with one, the bracket isn't there, so you'll need a bracket or to mount it elsewhere. Just make sure it is grounded.
