John deere L111 Stalling after little use

My JD seems to run about 20 min to 1/2 hour then seems to stalls out. Going to check plugs changed fuel filter already.Cleaned air filter not really bad. What should be looked into next? Carb?
Having a hunch the fuel may be restricted the fuel filter seems to always have a bit more when not running. Just a note.
Could this be the signs of a failing plug?
PS Also the overall high end power/speed doesn't seem to be what it used to (But not sure? )
thx

Sounds like the fuel cap may not be venting properly, try running with the cap loose to see if it improves. Have a good one. Geo
