Husq RZ5426 zero turn running great 3 years. Shut down while mowing. 20 amp and 7.5 amp inline fuses both blown. 7.5 was actually split, the 20 had burn mark on one leg. Replaced fuses, no start, no blow. Charged battery, cleaned contacts on battery, cleaned contacts on ignition and hour meter, bypassed seat switch (no start), did physical inspection of hand brake switch, looks beat up but engaging. Took wires off solenoid and cleaned terminals, no change. Jumper to battery, no start ( and no clicking or no indication starter is getting power). Ran jumper to starter lug and this turned engine several times but very slowly, did not start. So what tools do I need to properly diagnose, how to diagnose and locate the problem. Don't have electrical background but can follow instructions. Can't afford service call from dealer.

Break out the manual and turn to the wiring diagram page. You will need a meter or a test light. A 12v test light is all that's needed.

Clip on to the frame of the tractor. Makes sure it's a good connection.
Check both side of the 20A fuse. Both sides should light the tester.
Turn the key to on. Check both sides of the 7.5A fuse for power.
The accessory outlet(s) should be live.
Activating the power take off should start the hour meter.
