Need timing belt for Ryobi c430 RY34427 trimmer

I finally determined that the timing belt on my Ryobi c430, RY34427, 4 cycle trimmer, had jumped 2 or 3 teeth. After correcting the belt on the cam gear, the trimmer came back to life.

I know it is just a matter of time before the belt jumps again. I cannot find which belt to buy. It is not listed on any parts diagram I have found. It might be a 901656002, which appears to fit "similar" Ryobi trimmers. But I can't confirm that the belt is right for the RY34427.

Anyone know?

It's amazing.... your machine is the only one not listed. I'd agree... it looks like the right belt. For the $4 it would probably be worth it to get it.

I will attempt to call Ryobi today. The trimmer is still within its 3-year warranty. The warranty excludes issues deemed to be "normal maintenance" per Ryobi. However, it would seem that the timing belt would be covered since it appears to be a part of the engine in the parts diagrams. In addition, replacing the timing belt is difficult to do assuming you find one that fits.

An even bigger issue with warranty repairs; the owner is required to pay for shipping the device both ways to a distant "authorized repair center".

Thanks for your advice.

The number on the belt is "gul-tz 60s4.5M338"

And Jacks Small Engines says the part number of the belt is RY67592. And they no longer carry it.

It looks as though the belt could be unique to that trimmer.

Great!
