Starter Flywheel for a "06 5BSXS Brigs 206 cc engine
Hi All
Does anyone know if a starter flywheel is available for the above motor. I might consider replace my "66 FH Tech on my blower.
It would be 40 yrs newer than the currant motor, and maybe more powerful. I forgot to check for a starter mount or a spot for one, but overall its a shot. Thanks.

I don't know all of your engine numbers but here is some info referring to a similar situation with your family engine.

Cheese Here is the full #5BSXS2051HF276006' It does have 2 bosses with holes near the flywheel shroud in a spot th a starter might go. Maybe 2 bolts are how they bolt on starters these days.I did not check for a ring gear.

Yep, 2 bolts is how they've been bolting them on since they started putting regular starters on them. That looks like an engine family number or something like that, not model, type, and code.

Cheese The rest of the numbers that I found on this motor are
040726FD28700. I did not look at the flywheel yet, but there os no bump out for the starter, and probably no ring gear.
I am considering using it to replace the original Techumseh on my 51 year old Sears Murray snowblower. Which has a starter.
