Drain oil from engine. Plug drain and check dip stick after adding each 1/4 quart oil until dip stick indicates full. Capacity is (1/4 times number of adds).

Bob, I don't know, and maybe you're asking because you can see that it's over full, but I'd guess that 2 quarts is close to twice what it should be. Check the engine over good for a tag with numbers for it and see what you can find that way. Quite likely those machines left the factory with a couple different engines, so the manual for the machine may not give you what you're looking for. Or you might find the numbers just stamped in the blower housing. Otherwise about all you can do is drain out the oil, put in something like 1/2-3/4 quart and keep adding a bit until you get it to the mark on the stick.

I'd focus on the make and size of the ENGINE and forget about the make or kind of equipment it's mounted on.
What is it; a Briggs and Stratton, a Tecumseh, a Kohler or some other make , , , , the Model Number for it.
Otherwise, you're just guessing !

Try 8HP Tecumseh HMSK80 (or some variant) you're looking at around 24 oz depending on how much drains.
Start with 16oz that should get you on the dipstick then add a couple oz at a time until full.

Good job, Bob. I'm about 10-15 miles west of AA, something like 20 miles north of you, so imagine that it got a good workout today. I made a couple of passes with the tractor last night and was a few hours this morning cleaning up the rest of ours and the neighbors. Now, being almost neighbors, I'll give you the kind of polite lecture I give some of the neighbors around here. Your problem is solved for now, but do yourself a favor, take 5-10 minutes when you have it and look for the numbers I mentioned earlier. Not sure that you'll find a free manual for it online, but at least you'll know exactly what you have in case you need a spark plug or anything for it.

Strange thing Pedro! I taped the serial#s over- on a the shroud.i can just barely make them out. That problem will be history after today. Quick story my father-in-law[( al 4 of ours is gone now) gave this blower to me before he died, He says"Bob if anybody else ask me for this from e.woulda been no way. You take care of everything you own my wife says later, Anyway it won''t stay lit. When i got it or took it, He handed me a little neat cloth folded over the 6 plugs he had, He opened up the cloth...i wante to laugh wouldn't hurt his feelings that way. Ij ust said hoping he might listen........first off we need 6 new plugs if I AM going to run it.Abit cheapbut a fine fellow. This Areins has never missed a winter since 1988 And when shes runin good STIL THROWS SNOW 25" AWAY. Quite a deal aay great week ahead 40 degree weather this wed thank you much Pedro . bob s
