Lawn mower blade mount question

Honda mower, re-branded as Sears.

I took the blade off to sharpen it. This blade has three holes: one for the attachment bolt, and two smaller holes to accept studs from the "knob" on the end of the drive shaft (is that knob called the blade adapter?) The two studs have been sheared off the knob.

From some quick youtubing it looks like the "knob" is a press fit with a keyway, and can be removed with a gear puller- is that true for all mowers?

My Troy built has similar mounting, it's an adaptor that slides on the shaft with key, 2 pins then the bolt goes through the blade into the shaft.

Mine comes right off, it's probably just got some rust holding it in place!

It should just slide off. Might take some taps from a hammer to help. It's not a honda mower if it has that adapter. It may have a honda engine but that is an AYP mower.
