Homelite Chainsaw duckbill valve?
RE: Homelite Ranger Model UT-10947-E 33cc Chainsaw
Serial Number AH2300378 (08-05)
My son's Homelite spits oil off the chain just fine when running - maybe a little too much. Bottom of case a mess.
Wondering if anyone might know for sure if this particular model and year (2005 I'm assuming) should have a "duckbill valve" on the inside of the bar chain oil tank? Some online parts diagrams show a valve while others don't. BTW, didn't find anything in oil tank after draining.
Seems like a lot of oil leaks out of the brass "element" (red arrow) which is behind the recoil cover. A duckbill valve might solve the problem. IF it's supposed to be there.
Thanks in advance for any input.
