3 3/8" tongue vs 3" coupler
Our new dump cart has a 3 3/8" tongue. Unfortunately our old ball coupler fits a 3" tongue. It doesn't seem like anyone makes a coupler that fits. Anyone have any helpful ideas?

Can you post a picture of what you have? I have a lot of Deere stuff and I'm not understanding what you mean by "3 3/8" coupler" and a "ball coupler for a 3" tongue".

I'm not understanding either. If it's a ball hitch, I'm pretty sure your numbers are way off. Your choices would be 1 7/8" and 2". There is a 2 5/16" but that's normally found on big heavy stuff like campers.

Sorry for the confusion. I'm trying to learn the terminology. The ball on the tractor is 1 7/8" and the coupler was bought to fit that ball. I can't figure how to include the pics I took, so I'll try a better description of my problem. The tongue on the cart is 3 3/8" wide (outside dimension). The coupler (the part that attaches to the tongue and slips over the ball is 3" wide on the inside. It is designed to be bolted to the cart tongue but isn't wide enough. Hope this is more clear.

Here are instructions to post pictures.
So you're converting your trailer from the standard pin type to a ball type. Deere has their stuff fabricated and it sounds like the tongue on your trailer is not a standard trailer size. You'll either need to get creative or get a new coupler that will fit the tongue of your trailer. Since you're posting the question here I assume you don't have metal working tools and a welder.
Easiest would be to stick with a traditional pin type hitch. Next harder you can measure the inside of your trailer's tongue and see if a piece of 3" material will fit inside the channel/tongue. You could through bolt or weld the 3" material in place as an adapter to fit your 1 7/8" coupler. Another option would be to get a 2" weld on coupler and weld it up inside your trailer's tongue.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did look for coupler that would fit this tongue and did not any luck. I do not have metal working tools either. However, bolting a 3" wide steel plate up inside the channel and then to the coupler sounds doable for me. Thanks!
