tecumseh knocks on start up

tecumseh knocks on start up

Lawn boy mower knocks hard on first few revalotions. Runs fine then on . Not loose blade or tin rattle. Have cleaned gas tank put in fresh gas. took off head cleaned carbon out, new plug correct number. new carb, engine 6.5 tecumseh lv195ea does not rattle while running, good power, good compression Im open for ideas thanks

What is the viscosity of the oil that you're using ?

Loose blade, check that a washer is not missing letting the blade bolt bottom out, remove the blade and reinstall it. Have a good one. Geo

I'm with blade not tight enough or engine mounting bolts not tight enough.

Good idea I will change to heaver oil and see what happens. Blade not lose Thanks

Good ideas thanks guys put in heaver oil and retighted bolt on blade bolt had bottomed out Thanks for the help

The heavier oil might bite you int he long run, don't go over sae30.

Used 30 weight now had 10-30 before thanks
