hustler raptor starting issues
My Raptor with a Kohler 25 when I turn the key the starter turns with no ignition to the motor, but wont stop turning over even when switch is off. The battery has to be disconnected for engine to stop turning over. What is the source of this? And why after turning over the engine didn't fire up? Help!!!

Follow the starting cable back from the starter to the starter solenoid. There would be two heavy cable and one small wire usually. Hit your switch and the starter will be stuck on, as you've described. Pull the small wire off the solenoid. If it keeps cranking the starter, replace the solenoid. The contacts are fused together.
If the starter stops when you take off the small wire, the problem is probably in the ignition switch.

Thanks. When I removed the small red wire the starter was not energized. My switch is constantly on. Thank you for your help. After I change the switch hopefully we will crank up, if not look for another question. Again, thank you for your help.
