briggs 17.5hp blowback and other probs
Hi all ive looked through tons of articles and such trying to find an answer so hopefully someone here can help me out. i have a zero turn with a briggs and stratton 31g777-0115-e1 17.5hp ohv engine. ive replaced, carb, fuel pump, starter etc once i got it running it was blowing smoke heavily but no blowback or gas in the oil. now after all that i am still getting blowback into the oil and now gas. the engine also gets really hot after running for about a minute. im at a loss for figuring this out any help would be appreciated. i dont have any specialty tools or the ability to get them currently.
thanks for your time

You're getting gas in the oil? That's because of the carb. That is commonly a cause for smoking too, so I'm wondering if that isn't the whole problem. If not, it could be a blown head gasket, also a common cause of blowby and smoking on these engines.
