Is this the right starter switch button for my 850?

Working on tractor and somehow fried the starter switch button. When I press it, it only spits out 4 volts to the solenoid.

Here is a picture of it... I broke one of the screw terminals off when I was taking the wire off.

Will this TSC button work on my tractor? Thanks.

That will work. Any two terminal normally open switch will work for that.

Hey thanks for the quick response PJ!

They didn't have that, one so I got this one... I assume it will also work, based on what you said.

Thanks again!

Does your tractor not have a starter switch on the transmission cover? When I bought my NAA it just had a regular push button starter mounted on the body but it was supposed to have one on the trans cover. The one on the trans cover is a safety switch and won't allow you to start the tractor unless it's in neutral. I bought the correct switch at a local tractor parts store 20-25 yrs ago.

Thanks PJ, yeah I got that one and it works.

MarkSR someone cut the wire and disabled the safety switch on the transmission cover a long time ago. I've been driving it 10 years and only just recently realized what that thing was, when I started researching this switch button thing.

It's not a big deal to replace and rewire the safety switch.
You might want to buy an IT repair manual for your year/model tractor. I bought one at Tractor Supply about 25 yrs ago. I only use mine occasionally now but used it a lot when I first got it.
