Ransomes mower
I made the mistake of buying a used Ransomes mower.
Finding it impossable to find parts, a manual even a parts break down on line.
The only ID label on the mower is from Textron Mod. 942103, ser. # 94210300596
On the control panel it says Bobcat.
I found one for sale online and they said it was a Model E16-0540.
I'm told Ransomes was bought by Jacobsen, but my closest dealer is over 4 hours away.

Looks like those three names all go together, Joe - Ransomes/Bobcat/Jacobsen. Jacobsen is listed as a division of Textron. Interestingly, Ransomes is touted as making the world's first lawnmower. That must be the one I had for a while.
What were you looking for, just a manual, a parts source, or a particular part?

Ransommes was ultimately bought by Jacobsen, a division of Textron. It was mostly sold as a commercial user product when Textron bought them, so if you have a commercial sized mower, your Commercial Jacobsen distributor is where you are going to get your parts and service, and help from. There is a good one in the Cleveland Area, and they can probably help you for whatever you need, or recommend someone closer to you. Turf Equipment distributors are VERY territorial, and respect the boundaries of their contract areas. Good luck!

If you had a Toro, you could get all of that at www.toro.com. If you can't get the same from Jacobsen/Textron, you can call Baker Vehicle Systems in Macedonia, Ohio (get their number from google) and they can either get them for you, or direct you to a closer source for their parts. Good Luck!
