Transporting a Troy Bilt Super Tomahawk chipper

Hello all,

I purchased a vintage Super Tomahawk B&S 8hp chipper the other day. I transported it on its side resulting in the oil leaking from the air filter housing. I topped off the oil but didn't restart it yet. Do I need to do anything before attempting a restart?

Welcome to the forums!

It should be fine although I'd make sure the filter is clean.

If it soaked the air filter with oil, you'll want to change it or it will probably flood the engine when running. Air doesn't go through an oil soaked paper filter well.
