Exclamation JD E Series 150 Won't Move Forward or Back

I was running the tractor and the rear tire when flat on me while cutting the edge of the lawn. I had to take it to have air put in because it came off the rim. When I put the tire back on and tried to mow again the mower would not move forward or backward, plus the brakes don't work. I can move the tractor with out the handle being pulled out in the back and when I step on the breaks it still moves. What happen???? I see no leaks and I don't see any thing loose on the brakes from what I can tell.

How about the axle key that goes in keyway on axle and engages with keyway in wheel hub? Probably fell out when you removed wheel, or stayed with wheel and was lost during transport to and from tire shop.

Thumbs up Problem Solved :)

The axle key was indeed the problem. I called JD service tech and he told me. I found it an put it back on. Never would have thought a small metal block can stop a whole tractor from moving. Lesson learned.

Thank so much for posting.
