What carburetor is this?
I need to rebuild the carb on an old Ariens ST504 snow blower. I don't know much about it, as I bought it secondhand last year. There's 738 9H13 stamped on top. With "132" in the casting on one side - "25" on the other side.

Maybe those numbers will be enough for someone else to go on, but if you're looking for parts for it I would skip past the model number of the machine and use the make, model, and spec number or whatever else you can pull directly from the engine. Should find a tag or the numbers stamped directly into the blower housing. And once you have that you might want to check the price of a new carburetor as some of the replacements are very reasonably priced.

I've used those on the H70's and they do OK. The finish work inside the throat and shafts isn't real pretty. It's a replacement not OEM.

I gave up long ago trying to rebuild any carburetors.
I own over 30 different gas powered pieces of equipment.
I just bought one for my stump grinder on Ebay for my stump grinder for $17.63 that came with a new spark plug, air filter, new fuel lines, fuel filter, new on/off switch, and even new coil.
It fits and runs perfect.
You'll need the numbers off the engine to find the needed part #, not the frame of the snow blower.

Here's an update;
'Bolted on my new eBay carburetor, and it fired right up and purrs like a kitten.
Son-of-a-....
My fuel tank has a leak!
Back to the online search.

If that is a metal tank with rust outs, you can resin coat the inside. There are kits for doing that.

Nope. Plastic - with a crack near a bolt hole on the bottom. The running joke with my wife is that it's a job for FlexTape... Not gonna happen. Let's do it right.
