Hey guys, I have a Yard Machines 22" cut snowblower with a 5hp Tecumseh motor on it.
I have been having a problem with the wheels engaging intermittently, ususally towards the end of its shift (only about 1 hour of use at a time) One time it was wet out so I thought the friction wheel was getting wet but it seemed fine. I also tried cleaning it and the metal wheel it contacts and seemed to solve the problem until it happened again during the next use. Doesnt seem wet or greasy or anything. Visual inspeciton tells me the friction wheel is good but maybe I'm wrong. It seems to work fine for a little while and then will start this not engaging problem nearing the end of getting the driveway done. The intermittent part has me stumped because at the beginning of use I usually hold the grips and lean back, and let the tires spin on the driveway trying to get it the disc to slip and it won't do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Read More
