Question Maryuama straight pole weeder muffler

I have an older commercial grade Maryuama weed whip. It's a monster & want to keep it going. Decided to do gen. upkeep on it since it's been a while. There's lots of carbon build up & was cleaning it & wanted to know if it's ok to soak the very dirty & hard to clean muffler in gasoline? I've got the spark arrestor cleaned up & the also the silencer.

Gas won't hurt it but I don't know if it will help clean it much. Maybe. I usually heat the carbon area with a torch and burn it off.

Hi, thank you so much. Yes, I thought about putting it on the grill. I might do that, hoping I don't blow anything up since I've soaked it in gas. It's been a few days, think it'll be ok to do that then?

Yeah, I would think it would be fine after a few days. I'm not sure a grill will get it hot enough unless you get it in some coals. Maybe.
