Craftsman string trimmer model#316.711190 gas line

Only use a couple times a year. Last year I wasn’t able to start. Gave up for the season. Yesterday was ready to take apart carb and clean/replace gaskets, etc. when I removed carb, looked ok

, but the green gas line is completely severed. See pic. Can I replace just tube? Or do I need to replace gas tank with tubes already attached?

thanks.

Green line going into tank is severed

Gas lines on trimmer can be replaced independently of gas tank. There are usually 2. One from filter in tank and the other the gas return from primer bulb. If replacing line to filter, pass new line thru its access hole and out the filler hole. Attach filter and pull new line out the access hole until filter rests at bottom of tank. Cur new line to length and attach to carb.

Tried attaching pic, I don't see it in post. Trying again here. But basically the green line is completely severed. Both green and black lines go into tank. Can I pick up replacement lines at home centers or amazon?

Yes most any mower shop will have the correct line, I think most auto parts stores and home repair centers sell it in little kits too.

Amazon sells packs of fuel lines, usually the packs have 3 or 4 different sizes of line. Don't forget to pick up a new filter. The hard part is getting the lines into the tank. It is a very tight fit and you just have to work at it, pushing through a little at a time. I like to grab the end in the fuel tan with pin nose pliers and pull as I push from the other side.
