Hello!16 H.P. Twin Cylinder Model #C944.609160.Engine Briggs & Stratton - Model # 402707 Purchased 1990. Noticed when I rotate flywheel by hand right head cylinder makes a muffled (POP) sound. The left head cylinder is quiet it this telling me something? Does Brigg & Stratton sell a manual for this motor for rebuilding purpose. Thank You .

Manuals exist as do online parts blowups. Does
this "pop" happen with the plug out? Will the
engine even attempt to start when tried? Give some
more info before rebuilding it.

Check that cylinder poping with the plug out as Fish suggested, If that quiets it down to know more poping, id say its puffing compression, Out the exhaust Valve mid compression stroke, Thus Means Cam is out of time some how. Or are you sure its comming out the muffler or round the head gasket would make a slow puffing poping noise if the head gasket is blown.
