Elk tractor

Hello: on this Elk, it does not want to idle when cold
but in the intake manifold under the carb is something that
looks like it would be controled by water temp. there is a water
hose coming to it from near the thermostate and returns near
the water pump, there are no dealers in my area that i know of.

thanks again Cork

It may be an intake air heater, or choke control box. I'll check to see if I can find out anything about it for you. I have never run across any mitsubishi equipment in my area. Check back often, one of the other pros of this forum might be able to help, and I'll post back what I find.

Cork...I can't find ANY info ANYWHERE about the ELK model. No problem finding stuff on mitsubishi tractors, but not this particular one. However, maybe these sites will help. Some have FAQ's and helpful links regarding mitsubishi tractors. Also most of these sites have japanese tractor manuals. Is this tractor made for U.S. import..(was it purchased in the states?).

try these: www.soonersales.com
www.tractormanual.com
www.tractormanuals.co.uk
www.davistractor.com
www.andrew.cmu.edu
www.tractortown.com

If you would like to describe the problem, and each component that you think is related to the problem, maybe we can help you solve it.

Might be worth a call/e-mail to Mitsubishi's website/headquarters to find out more information.

They will likely know where to get service information or parts information and can probably help with identifying the unit in question.
