Gilson/ wards tractors

Hey guys, does anybody know much about the Gilson line of garden tractors, I have one sold by Mongomery Wards, I think 1971.

Just tinkering around with it now but it does need some work, the sticker says variable speed 16 on the hood, the variable speed pulley is really worn out, the deck is hydraulic and went up and down a few times but now has stopped in the down position.

Would be nice to get some service info or manuals for it if i could,
thanks joe

Gilson parts are still available from your local
Lawnboy dealer, I do not know about manuals.

It's surely made by someone for Montgomery Ward. Find out who it is and contact them for help.

Who makes the engine? If it's Briggs and Stratton, you can go to their website with all the engine information and they'll send you a parts book and answer your questions. Most libraries have books on small engine repair you can borrow as well.
