Exhaust fan

Does anyone know what's involved in installing an exhaust fan in an upstairs bathroom?

I just installed one in my second floor bathroom where there was none. I poked a hole in the ceiling where I wanted the fan to go. I then crawled into the attic and found my hole (I poked a long piece of wire into the attic to find it). I placed the fan on the ceiling and cut a hole it would barely fit thru. I then ran wire down the wall using a fishtape to there I had cut a hole for the switch. I ran wire for the fan from the switch to the fan. I then ran the vent line from the fan to the gable end of the attic (this was easier than a soffit or roof penetration). I then went down to the switch and attached the wires from the hot side (of course the breaker was off) to the switch. I turned the breaker on, went upstairs and flipped the switch and VIOLA! exhaust fan. A post in the "Baths" forum might get better responses.

Good Luck
