HELP!!! Painting blunder
I have the old wood windows in my home and I painted one of them but I think I just the wrong kind of paint. I use a High Gloss Enamel paint. It feels tacky to touch. I put the last coat on last night at 8pm. Now when I try to put the window in, it was very tight and some of the paint peeled off. Last year I did the same thing to 3 other windows and have no problem with them.. I think I used a latex paint on them.

Sounds like you used oil base paint. That's ok, it just takes longer to dry. A window location may be damp or cool, adding to the drying time. It may take a few days to harden completely.
