door color

Can anyone help me decide what color I should paint my interior door? We recently painted our woodwork white and considering painting the handrail of the banister white and leaving the spindles the dark stain; but, should we also leave the inside of the entry door the dark stain or paint it white? Any ideas will be apreciated. Thanks.

It's really up to you... no right or wrong way. Since you will still have some unpainted trim, an unpainted door is ok.

Regarding your handrails, I would recommend reversing your approach. I would paint the spindles white, but not the handrail. Since the rail takes the wear and tear, a natural finish is better than paint.

White is very popular. All my trim and doors are white. My wife is so happy.
