Painting over oil base paint
#1

I have recently started painting and did not realise i was painting over oil based paint. I have already applied two coats of waterbased paint over the oil base. Could some please advise on the best procedure to remove this. And is there any reason why I can't just leave it on.
Thanks for your help.

unless it starts peeling, leave alone..
Ideally you'd have applied a good bonding primer first. But, since you didn't don't worry about it. You may be ok depending on how old the previous paint was, how much sheen it had, how clean it was, quality of the new paint.
Unless it starts peeling, I'd leave it alone.
