Best paint in a kitchen

In the middle of a kitchen remodel... new drywall going up next week..
Just curious, is it recommended to use a different paint specific to kitchens.
My wife had heard that this is the case or will any good quality interior paint do??

Awaiting your New Years knowledge!

Hi Curtis,

In the kitchen, you will want a paint that is durable and cleanable. You will not regret using both a good quality primer and paint. I recently painted my own kitchen with Benjiman Moore eggshell finish paint and I just love it! It looks wonderful, it went on like a dream, and you can simply wipe clean with a damp rag.

Good luck with your project!

Farrel Calhouns Premium flat wall paint is washable and durable. And will touch up a year from the time you aply it.And unlike eggshell does not reqiure a primer first. It also has very little sheen so it doesnt show flows in the wall as bad.Ghesh i sound like im selling it.LOL trust me im not.Its just the best ive used.
I buy it by the 5 gallon bucket and its 55 dollars.I dont no about per gallon cost.

Good luck!

I prefer to use kidsroom paint in the kitchen. Very easy to clean.
