I was told by a professional (commercial) painting contractor to use eggshell paint for its dirt hiding properties. All rooms are done and look good; however, there is a sloped ceiling (less than 45 degrees) shared by the living room and kitchen. I noticed that the white eggshell paint we used shows gloss marks when light hits it at the right angle. While these marks cannot be seen on the lower level, it is quite apparent at the upper level. Should I??? 1)Wait for the paint to dry at least a week and see if the marks disappear OR 2)Repaint it with another coat of eggshell OR 3)Repaint it with a coat of flat or ultra-flat? Please advise.

I we are having our brand new house built and it will be completed june 27th, i was told by someone, we shouldn't paint our new walls for a year to let the house settle, we live in texas, so we don't have a basement, just a concrete slab. is this true? or can we go ahead and paint our walls?:confused:
