Door frame/door color combination

This may be more of an opinion type question, but.....you know how a room is most likely to have the walls one color and the trim another. Well, my question is, what is the accepted/traditional color combination for the door and its frame? I know the door frame is part of the trim, so is the door better painted the same color as its frame/trim or the color of the walls? Again, I guess there may not be an absolute wrong/right combination, but what are your opinions? BTW, for the record, the colors are trim dark grey/green, walls light grey/green. Thanks.

In my experience, 9 times out of ten, the door is painted same color as the frame.

I agree thats what most people do - but thats not neccesarily a good reason to do it. be bold - add color to your life.

And remember . . paint is great and inexpensive . . you can always change back the color to the traditional . .

good luck
