Question Concrete Patio

Hi Everyone, i,m new to this forum, i am usually in the garden forum, but this time i have aquestion about concrete patios. when we our home our patio had been painted, and then had turf glued down on top of that.i have been able to get the glue off but not all of the paint, it is green. what i want to do is repaint the patio,to look like stones. can i just sand the remainder of the paint smooth, and start from there ? if so what do i have to do, to make the paint adhere to the concrete. will i have to seal, the concrete, and what kind of paint would i have to use? the patio is about an 8x24 i know it will take time but i,m up to it. thanks again texas lady

Since this deals primarily with painting, I am moving it to the painting forum where you will find more help.

It's a good idea to seal the concrete with a good quality exterior block filler paint before applying quality exterior latex paint.
