criss cross HELP

Hi All
I am deep need of someone to tell me what is the technique of cress cross painting on a wall to get a effect of different colour tones. I am sure they would have a name for this finish. This is all the information I have on it. I did see it demonstrated on do it yourself by a lady present tor. However didn't take any notes. Now I have a mad painter at home doing cress crosses everywhere and it doesn't look good LOL

Need to pint copper flashing.....

I have a long strip of copper flashing that is between 2 floors (sunrooms 1st fl and 2nd) It kind of raps around a 8X18 room on one side of the house. I think it was installed when they enclosed the porches years ago. Anyway, at some point someone stated to paint if and from speaking to the previous owner, it always seems to start to chip away paint every 2 years. How do I clean this up. I want to paint it over again but I am not sure how to prep it and what type of primer and paint to use. JRead More
