Question cleanup before prime & Paint?

Hello,

We have added a new additon and our drywall man finished sanding today, we have agreed to do the painting, so...we bought primer/paint/etc., what exactly do we need to do to clean the walls before we prime them? I know we need to mop floor/dust to remove the drywall dust, but is it okay to rub walls down with a wet rag to rid of dust, or how should be do it? Thank you for any input.

Megan

Best way to do that >>> use a SWIFTER

Or by hand, buy a couple tack cloths, available at most good paint stores.

Or a vacuum with a brush attachment.

Don't use a wet rag or sponge, it could remove some of the floated joint compound.
