Removing paint from river rock
#1

[SIZE=2]I am purchasing a house that have river rock all over the interior and the exterior. Some bone-head painted one of the beautiful fireplaces with white latex paint. Pressure washing is the first thing that comes to my mind, but since that area of the house is covered in carpet, is there a cleaner way??
Thank you in advance for your help.

That's why we urge people to reconsider painting fps
This topic has been around for many years. While I do not have personal experience, one of the recomendations in the past has been to sand blast. I questioned that advice several times and was always assured that a competent company could do it with relatively little mess. It is not a DIY project.

Yeah, people should realize its easy to put paint on, but a nightmare to take back off.
Sandblasting or chemical stripper work on brick or masonry surfaces, but they are not easy at all. I as a professional don't offer these services. Plus the paint that seeps into the pores is there for good.
