RePainting over Hi-Gloss Paint

I've got a major door and molding repainting job. Current paint is gloss beige and I want to paint hi-gloss White. I've tried primer and multiple applications and it still looks streaky. Any recommendations on making what seems like a miserable job easy and good looking. Also, I am trying to avoid having to sand since I have alot of work ahead of me...
