Painting Laminate Book Cases
[B][COLOR=Blue] I have four laminate bookcases that I want to paint. Fortunately I did a test on one of the shelves and found a problem. The paint will stick but it will peal off after it dries. It is like skin pealing off after a sunburn. Hopefully there is something I can do besides sanding down all those shelves and sides. Any assistance will be appreciated.

You need to at least scuff sand them to help adhesion. 120 grit works good. Laminate is just too smooth for most primers to grip onto. Using an oil-based primer will also help with adhesion in this case.
