Nope not that i no of.Well unless its oil based paint and still wet.
Its not hot enough to melt any dry paint.I was warned by a carpet layer not to put anything oil based (like mineral spirits or kerosene) on carpet as it would dissolve the carpet backing over time.He claimed to have seen this before.(Big bald spot in the middle of a room!)

If its latex, a profession steam cleaner person can get it out. They have for me before when an employee got wet paint on a bucket and sat it in the floor in several places, then didn't tell me and let it dry. $65 Dollars for one room.

If its just a drip that dried on the surface of the carpet,i have successfully cut out one or two pieces of pile from the carpet. With out being able to see where i did it.Kinda like a hair cut!

Goof-off often works on removing latex paint from carpet.
