painting white latex over old stained trim

Hello,
I recently bought an older house, the wood trim is stained and I want to modernize it by painting all the trim white. What steps should I take to correctly paint the trim white, so it want scratch off easily? I have already sanded and primed with kilz 2 in one bathroom.
Thanks,

Kilz2 is not the best primer for trim IMO. Prep the trim by lightly sanding it with a sanding sponge, and clean off all the dust. Use an alkyd or oil primer that penetratres the wood. Finish it with 2 coats latex semi-gloss or satin.
