Strip Paint On Woodwork

I'm stripping paint on all my wood work up to 48' to remove lead.
I've used a stripper and then steel wool and then a wet sand and then a wash using tsp.
Even with all that work some areas have small amounts of paint.
What is the rule of thumb is a small amount of paint(lead) on wood work expectable?
This is all in preparation for a complete paint job from top to bottom.

Thanks for any help...

I assume small bits of paint left will be OK, as you are going to prime and repaint, which will encapsulate the old paint.
