Mold on bathroom ceiling

I have small amounts of mold forming on the bathroom ceiling.I was going to paint, but would like to know if there is a particular way of cleaning the surface before repainting.

You must kill the mold first
I personally like to use X-14
It works very, very well on mold and mildew
Use gloves and wear old clothes and maybe a hat if you are squirting the ceiling
It's strong so use sparingly

A 10% bleach solution(1 part bleach to 9 parts water) will work to kill the mold.Just wipe it on and rinse off. The celing will need to be painted with a sealer before painting with regular paint to prohibit water saturation on the ceiling. If you have a bathroom exhaust fan it should be run after showers to help evacuate the moisture retained in the room. Fan should be run for 10 to 15 min. Wear gloves and glasses when applying.
