Removing old paint

What can I use to remove several coats of Latex and oil base paint from a celing.

I would just scrape all the loose paint off with a 12" taping knife or similar and prime with Kilz or comparable primer.Then add texture of your choice(or none) and then paint.

painting drywall in bathroom

Ok, just put a full bath in basement. Shower is tiled and extends about 2 inches past shower door. What kind of paint should I put on the drywall??? What type of finish (light tan/brown paint) There shouldnt be a problem with moisture right??? should I primer the walls?? Dont know much about good paint jobs. Thanks!!! :confused:

I'd like to save a few bucks and try painting our house interior and exterior. I'm guessing that the best way of doing this is with a power sprayer of some sort. I have no idea what the differences between brands/models/psi and what is important. If we're painting over the existing paint with the same color, does it need to be primered first? Also, we have some settling cracks on the exterior. What should be used fill these? If anyone can shed some light on this would be great.
