am trying to find the best way to remove paint from my bathroom wall and window trimmings. It is an old house and has many layers of paint on everything. Consequently, it is proving impossible to paint over these areas - too much paint there already. These trimmings are pretty old-fashioned, lots of ridges and uneven areas. Any suggestions as to the easiest way to tackle this big job?? Or any tips to prevent future hair pulling in this endeavour would be greatly appreciated!

I would have to say the best thing to do with your trim is replace it. You do not know what you are running into with many layer of paint and lead paint would be MY major concern.
Nothing you can do about the walls but repaint them but at least a solution for the trim is replacement.
