Question

I am in the planning stages of updating
a 70s ranch home...We want to paint
brown cabinets, trim, and paneling...
Does anyone have a good brand and color
to share that they may have used....
We are looking for a soft country white
look, not bright white,or greyish in
tone....

Ive seen Antique white, country white,
etc...

Any experience will help! Thanks!

And one more thing - buy your paint from a paint STORE, not a paint department. Larry passed on excellent info on quality paints.

And use quality tools. It does make a difference. When you are done, clean the tools according to the paint mfg recomendations. You can use the tools on the next job.

Hi!
My husband and I went to a paint store (MAB) and asked to purchase a "color symphony fan deck". It's just this little book with all the available colors. When we repainted the house we recently moved into, this came in quite handy. We were able to hold the colors against the walls and use the book to be sure they looked well with our existing furniture, rugs, etc. In most cases they will just give you the book if you're sure to tell them you will be purchasing the paint at that store. The book has about 132 pages with 7 colors on each page. It's hard NOT to find the colors you like with this little book! Good Luck!
