Hi, I need some solid advice. I am going to paint plaster walls in a house that's been vacant for almost 2 years. Due to the change in weather (hot/cold......), there are cracks in the walls and ceilings. Does joint compund do the trick. Any advice/guidance would be appreciated...
Thank you!

The cracks are common to plaster walls. You should first remove any loose plaster from the crack. Then apply adhesive fiberglass joint tape and apply your joint compound. There are other methods, but this one has worked well for me. Good Luck.
