Question

I will be painting kitchen cupboards made out of material other than wood...they have some sort of laminate to them.
I will be using tinted melamine paint...my dilemma is....DO I NEED TO SAND THESE CUPBOARDS FIRST BEFORE I USE THE MELAMINE PAINT ON THEM? I HAVE ALL OF THE NEEDED PRODUCTS TO START MY PROJECT SHORTLY...TODAY.
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

They need to be washed first to make sure ALL grease and dirt is gone. You'd be amazed at how much grease accumulates just from normal cooking odors.

Then, lightly sand the laminate so the paint has a better bite.
